The Mabea is the black ankle boot you build outfits around. Smooth black leather, a long tapered point, and a 6.4cm flared block heel: narrow where it meets the boot, wider at the floor, cut with four flat faces and sharp edges. From the side it reads as sculpture, and it is what separates this boot from every other black bootie.

The construction is quiet and precise. A single seam runs down the centre of the vamp to the tip, the topline is clean with no trim or hardware, and the only metal on the boot is a slim gold zip on the inner side, hidden when you walk and visible when you want it. Inside, the boot is lined in black.

This is the one that goes with everything: cropped denim, a wool midi, tailored trousers, a slip dress. The pointed toe lengthens the leg and the block heel means you can wear it from morning through dinner.

Size & fit: please read before ordering

Made on the same French last, cut slim and precise. If your feet are slim to average, order your usual size. If they're wider, we'd suggest sizing up.

One thing specific to this shape: the toe is long and tapered, so the boot measures longer than it fits. That extra length is empty point, not room for your foot, and sizing up to gain toe space only makes the boot slide at the heel. The inner zip opens the shaft fully, so a higher instep is not a problem here. If you are unsure, write to us at info@mangara.be before you order. It is faster than a return.
